This is Grand Duke Guillaume who was also the king of the Netherlands. He is honoured with a statue cause he introduced parlamentary in Luxembourg. He can be found on Place Guillaume II.

When looking over the Petrusse valley towards the old town one can see the cathedral Notre Dame.

The Skyline of Luxembourg

There aren´t that many tall buildings in Luxembourg but here are some exceptions. The rightmost is the Palais de la Justice where two new towers are beeing built with 24 floors each by the french architecte Dominique Perrault.

Another Bank Building

This is one of the numerous office buildings at the Kirchberg Plateau. Which bank it is that makes money behind these windows I can´t recall.

Rock Solid Over the Valley

Le Pont Adolphe stretches over the Pétrusse valley and connects the old city center with the Gare (station) area. At the time of construction (1900-1903) the central span was the world´s largest stone arch existing. It still feels really solid after over a hundered years of use!

As Always...

As always in Luxembourg you pass building site after building site while walking in the rain. But here you're actually doing quite fine even though you left your umbrella on the bus.

The First Day of Spring.

Today the sun was actually feeling quite warm so it felt like getting a glimpse of spring. Strange since last sunday morning I woke up to a totally white Luxembourg since it had been snowing during night. But of course most of it had disappered by the time I had finished breakfast.
